Bodies of Evidence: Contribution of Dance to Health and Wellbeing – 19 April 2021

This virtual symposium will explore how we research and evaluate the contribution of dance to health and wellbeing within the wider arts and health landscape. The event is organised as part of a research project Dance for Health: Debating and Moving Forward Methodologies Project, funded by the University of Exeter Wellcome Centre for Cultures and Environments of Health, led by researchers from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, University of Exeter and Dance in Devon.

The symposium will include a presentation of a systematic literature review, a debate on how practitioners and the participants they work with are involved in researching dance and health and wellbeing, drawing on findings from the research and a panel discussion including Nikki Crane, Fergus Early OBE and Dr Sarah Houston.
