Creativity and Wellbeing Week 2020 Dates Announced

Following a hugely successful Creativity and Wellbeing Week held in 2019. London Arts in Health Forum, along with our partner the Culture, Health and Wellbeing Alliance are delighted to announce that the next  festival will be held between 18-24 May 2020.

In 2019 the festival became national, after seven years of being based in London. The week was the biggest yet with the number of events doubling since last year.

In London, we partnered with a number of organisations to host events including the Southbank Creative Health conference, Paintings in Hospitals for Connect 2019 and Walthamstow Arts Trail and Nicola Naismith for Artists Practising Well. We were thankful to the Wellcome Trust for supporting our Making it Mainstream event and to Thrive LDN for supporting the festival.

We were thrilled to see so much activity in UK regions for the first time. Norfolk held it’s inaugural week which included over 30 organisations and artists. You can read more from Mary Muir, Norfolk’s Arts Development Manager in her blog here.

We want 2020 to be the best yet and so are working hard to forge partnerships, including aligning the week closer to the Get Creative and Age of Creativity festivals also taking place in May.

We would be interested in any organisation who would like to collaborate with us in 2020.

We will also be working hard to ensure that event organisers feel supported through developing a toolkit and more guidance on how to put together an event or work in a region to host your own week. We will also be redeveloping the website to make it more user friendly. We hope that all this will further raise the profile of the week in what is an exciting time for creativity and wellbeing.
