Arts and Education Co-ordinator

Social housing provider, Central and Cecil, is looking for an Arts and Education Co-ordinator for a 1 year maternity contract. They are looking for someone with an interest in the arts and experience of working with older people and/or people with mental health issues.

The part time Arts & Education Co-ordinator will oversee arts projects, events and activities for people living in Central and Cecil’s housing schemes on a salary of £25,665 (pro rata). The deadline is 20th FEBRUARY.

Public Art competition

Evolution Quarter Residents’ Association together with Southwark Council is looking to commission a public art piece for Calypso Gardens in Peckham. The commission is open to anyone living, working or studying in Southwark or who may have some connection with Peckham and must include local residents’ involvement.

The budget for producing the winning design will need to fall within total costs of £40,000 and the winning submission will be awarded an additional £2,000. The deadline for applications is 16th March. e: Anila.ladwa@southwark.org.uk

Project Co-ordinator

Well London is advertising for a part-time Project Co-ordinator for the Be Creative Be Well programme. The post holder will contribute to the overall delivery of the Well London Programme processing grants and contracts, supporting the project and managing processes as well as developing relationships with a range of partner 
organisations.

Mental Wellbeing Impact Assessments

The Be Creative Be Well programme is offering training in Mental Wellbeing Impact Assessments (MWIA). MWIA is a pioneering methodology that enables the evidence based and systematic assessment of the potential impact on well-being of arts projects. It is based on the evidence of the determinants of mental well-being – focusing on four factors that promote and protect mental well-being: enhancing control; increasing resilience; facilitating participation; promoting inclusion.

Musicians’ training

A pilot European Training Programme for musicians wishing to work in healthcare has been established by the Royal Northern College of Music and other European partners.

The programme will aim to identify the skills and competencies required of musicians in healthcare settings with five-day workshops held in each partner country. Leaders of Tomorrow

Leaders of Tomorrow is a free five day programme developed for managers and trustees in community organisations funded by the Office of the Third Sector.

The course involves five day-long sessions over a 6 month period designed to develop leadership skills and increase understanding of organisational challenges and how to manage change.

The programme is being organised by IVAR, the Institute for Voluntary Action Research.

Project Co-ordinator

The Well London programme is looking to appoint a Project Co-ordinator for Be Creative Be Well. The role is to implement and monitor the cultural strand of the Well London programme and requires experience in community development and commissioning artists.

Evaluator

An evaluator is required for REACH - a South West regional Arts and Health initiative. The fee is £8,000 inc. VAT and the deadline for applications is 19th September.

Artist required

An artist is sought to create a lasting memorial which celebrates the life of Elizabeth Garrett Anderson for the new Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Wing of University College Hospital.

The commission is open to any artist working within the UK working in any medium. The selected artist should be enthusiastic and highly motivated and have experience of working with site specific commissions and have the ability to work with sensitivity and diplomacy. The commission will be permanent and site specific. The artist will be expected to work in close consultation with the Arts Curator, the family of Elizabeth Garrett Anderson and with other staff.
